How to get people onto your new Feedback Board

Getting people to use your new feature request board doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here are some easy ways to drive some initial engagement:

Email your users

Send a quick email announcing your feature request board. https://northernlabs.slite.com/app/docs/Xk7zu8tf2ip4wo or from your own email system. In the email content you want to explain why your feedback board exists, how it helps them, and drop a direct link so they can start submitting ideas right away. You'll be surprised at how effective this is and how many ideas your users will have.

Add it to your onboarding flow

Include the board in your welcome emails or onboarding sequence. New users are more likely to engage if they see it right from the start. The beauty with this idea is that it's not overtly promoting your service or ramming something down their throat, it's a great way to start conversations and engagement with new/ trial users - and could be key to converting.

Put links to your feedback board in your website footer, in your help centre articles (super-powerful way to encourage feedback because at that time people are engaged with finding out how your app works), or in-app menus. Self discovery is a powerful tool, the more visible your board is, the more people will find it and give you feedback.

Share it through social media

Like and subscribe eh?! Telling people the board exists is great, but it's probably better to do this by sharing existing ideas from your board - like the most popular requests or new updates.

Include it on your email signature

Another easy one, add a small link or line to your email signature encouraging users to submit ideas. But not just your personal/ business email address, think more about your automated/ transactional emails. Every email you send is a tiny reminder about your board.

Include it in your support requests

When you're helping a user on chat or email, drop a casual mention of the board. If a user asks for a feature, direct them to your new feature request board so they can submit it themselves. A hot of customers include a link on the first automated email that goes out to acknowledge a support request.

Send email invites direct from Fider

Finally, we mentioned it in the first but it's worth repeating, you can send the email invites direct from Fider - it's in https://northernlabs.slite.com/app/docs/Xk7zu8tf2ip4wo it's especially useful if you have a https://northernlabs.slite.com/app/docs/Kg4HfOdd6sTpbo or want to engage on a more personal level with a smaller set of first users.
