Quick Start Guide

New to Fider? That's great, welcome!

This short guide covers everything you need to get your Fider board up and running. You only need a few minutes for this, it's all very straight forward.

Add three initial suggestions

After signing up, your board will be empty. Before sharing the board with your users, add three product suggestions to provide examples, those initial suggestions will encourage participation and give users an expectation of what to write in their suggestions.

We suggest three because it's a good practical starting point, but without too much clutter.

Use the fields shown to write clear, structured suggestions. Your initial product suggestions will set the tone for your community of users.

Once you click that 'submit your idea' button you'll be done and can move onto the next idea.

Working with product suggestions

Whether it’s your own suggestion or one that came from a user of your product, you can do the following as an admin user:

  • Copy a suggestion link

  • Edit a suggestion

  • Respond to a suggestion

  • View a suggestion and it’s discussion via RSS/Atom

  • Delete a suggestion

  • Follow a suggestion's discussion

  • Vote for a suggestion

  • Comment on a suggestion

Try the actions, have a play around with them. If you make a mistake, you can just delete the suggestion and start again.

Share your board ❤️

After adding and managing suggestions, share your board with your users so they can start voting and contributing.
